Karlie Alinta Noon is a Gamilaroi astronomer and science communicator who has worked with audiences around the country promoting Indigenous astronomical knowledge systems and advocating for women in STEM. Karlie was the first Indigenous female to obtain degrees in physics and mathematics and is currently completing a Ph.D. looking at the gas dynamics of the Milky Way at the Australian National University. A multiple award-winner, Karlie was an ACT Young Australian of the Year 2019 finalist and a Eureka Prize Emerging Leader 2019 finalist. Karlie is the first Astronomy Ambassador at Sydney Observatory.
